POPE SLAMMED FOR ANTI-CONDOMS STANCE
Pope Benedict XVI, on his first visit to Africa, has been criticised for continuing to reject the use of condoms in the fight against HIV, claiming that they actually make matters worse.
Speaking to journalists on his flight to the continent, he said that the crisis was “a tragedy that cannot be overcome by money alone, that cannot be overcome through the distribution of condoms, which even aggravates the problems”.
It is believed that this is the first time that the 81-year old pontiff has made a public statement on condoms; an issue on which activists were hoping the Catholic Church would soften its position.
Rebecca Hodes, head of policy, communication and research at Treatment Action Campaign in South Africa, told The Times of London that the Pope should focus on promoting wider access to condoms and information.
“Instead, his opposition to condoms conveys that religious dogma is more important to him than the lives of Africans,” she said.
….. I’m not afraid to say that the pope is a complete idiot for saying that condoms “aggravates the problems” relating to HIV/AIDS. His statement alone has now probably ended the lives of thousands (if not millions) who will now reject condoms based on his ignorant ramblings. Will he be held accountable for this? Of course lives mean nothing to him. What is important is that the church continues to spread its message of hatred, oppression and ignorance around the world. And if a few million people die because of it then he is probably quite willing to look the other way.
When you look at the picture posted with this article, it’s obvious one is looking at the true face of evil.
Sad. These are tha sad sad words of a very sexually frustrated man… I think he is the devil himself actually. The devil has been using the catholic church for centuries to create hate and divide between people, and they are too stupid to even realise it.
