Four men were arrested over the weekend in connection with last week’s shock murder of Bronx and Navigaytion nightclub owner Bruno Bronn.

On Friday, Cape Town police revealed that they were searching for 36-year-old John Frederick Coetzee. He had apparently been pointed out by Bronn’s friends as having recently harassed him.

Coetzee was soon after arrested in Bo-Kaap on Saturday while another man was arrested in Salt River, also on Saturday.

That night, a 35-year-old man was arrested in Albow Gardens, while a fourth suspect, whose car is believed to have been used in the crime, was arrested in Goodwood on Sunday.

Bronn’s stolen BMW was also recovered in Milnerton.

All four men are expected to appear in court today and will be charged with murder.

It is believed that Bronn’s family will have a private funeral in Bloemfontein, while a memorial service could be held in Cape Town in the coming weeks.

“I’m so glad to see that there is still justice in this country and the police are doing their jobs. Well done to the police,” commented Brunno’s friend and Navigaytion Manager and DJ Ari Nitzan on the club’s Facebook page.

Bronn’s body was found by a domestic worker at his Sea Point home last week Tuesday. Although police have refused to release Bronn’s autopsy findings, it is suspected that he was strangled to death.

Neighbours said that they saw Bronn arrive at his home with two men the night before, after which a loud and disturbing altercation was heard.
