Conservative Christians in South Korea prayed on Sunday for the cancellation of Lady Gaga’s upcoming concert in the country, accusing her of promoting “homosexuality and pornography.”

Gaga arrived in South Korea on Friday to kick off a series of dates in Asia, starting with the planned concert in Seoul on 27 April, as part of her Born This Way Ball Global Tour.

She tweeted that she had received a “warm and exciting welcome.”

The Korean Association of Church Communication, however, told the AFP in March that it would take “concerted action [against the star’s concert] to stop young people from being infected with homosexuality and pornography.”

Last week, another group, the Alliance for Sound Culture In Sexuality, put up banners in Seoul accusing Gaga of “spreading unhealthy sexual culture” through “lewd lyrics and performances.” The banners were later removed by the authorities.

On Sunday, the Associated Press reported that Protestant church members gathered in the city on Sunday night to pray against the concert.

Gaga hasn’t responded directly to the efforts of the Christians, but tweeted on Sunday, “I will perform the tour of your life if it f*cking kills me.”

The concert has already received an 18 plus age restriction from South Korean authorities.

Gaga has campaigned against the bullying of gay teens in the U.S. and is a vocal supporter of same-sex marriage rights.
