English rugby star James Haskell is on the cover of the new edition of Attitude magazine, describing it as “a bit of love” for his gay fans.

The 28-year-old Haskell currently plays for London Wasps in the Aviva Premiership. He also plays internationally for England.

The blonde hunk graces the cover of the July edition of the British gay magazine wearing nothing other than black underwear. He also wears little else in the photo shoot inside the covers.

In an interview with the magazine, Haskell said: “I’ve got a big gay following on Twitter so it’s an honour for me to be in Attitude.”

He also addressed the issue of gay sportsmen still being wary of coming out.

“I’m surprised that across all sports more people haven’t come out because going by sheer statistics there have to be lots of gay sportsmen, right?

“I hate the idea of people feeling they can’t just be themselves and personally I wouldn’t give a s**t if any of my team-mates were gay,” he said.

On Twitter, Haskell commented about the Attitude cover, tweeting: “New Attitude cover coming out soon. A bit of love for my gay fans.”

When he was 18, Haskell was embroiled in a sex tape scandal while at the exclusive Wellington College. He has insisted that his only involvement was in lending his camera to a friend who used it film himself having sex with his girlfriend.

The beefy sportsman has previously posed naked for the Dieux Du Stade ruby player calendar.
