In Pictures: Pretoria Pride 2024

The 2024 edition of Pretoria Pride lit up the capital on Saturday, 5 October, uniting the LGBTIQ+ community and our allies for an unforgettable celebration of love and diversity.

Held at the Centurion Rugby Club, this 11th annual Pretoria Pride delivered on its promise to be bigger and bolder than ever.

Led by a vibrant group of bagpipers, hundreds took to the streets of Centurion, proudly showcasing their queer identities and support for the LGBTIQ+ community. The parade sent a powerful message of unity and equality.

Although the lively midday parade was more focused on celebration than advocacy, with few signs highlighting pressing LGBTIQ+ issues, it remained a bold and joyous expression of queer visibility.

The festivities continued back at the Rugby Club, where live performances, DJs, food stalls, a flea market, and a beer garden kept the energy high well into the night.
