Cape Town Pride 2025 is officially underway with a three-week-long festival that runs from the 6th of February to the 2nd of March, offering a wide range of events.
As always, leading up to the big Pride Parade and Mardi-Gras day, the city’s queer community can enjoy events that cater to diverse tastes, including book readings, film screenings, workshops, hikes, drag shows, Pride Karaoke, a queer dating show, queer surfing, queer yoga and much more.
“As Cape Town comes alive with the colours of Pride 2025, let us take a moment to honour those who paved the way for our freedoms while holding space for those who, for various reasons, cannot celebrate with us,” said newly appointed Cape Town Pride Ambassador, Nkosinathi Sangweni waka Mtshali.
“Pride is a moment of joy and unity, but it is also a reminder of the work that remains. So, let’s march, dance, and celebrate—but let’s not be oblivious to the fight that continues for equal rights, representation, and justice for all,” they added.
