Jake Shears struts his stuff

Jake Shears from Scissors Sisters has shown that his time out of the spotlight hasn’t diminished his exhibitionistic streak – or his buff bod for that matter. The openly gay singer – who’s married to hubby Chris – has started promotional work for the band’s upcoming new album Night Work and was interviewed for the June 2010 issue of French Magazine Tetu. Unfortunately we’re not particularly fluent in French here at Mamba Mansions so we have no idea what he’s on about. Thankfully, however, it doesn’t take knowledge of a foreign language to appreciate the accompanying pictures. And boy are they stunning. See for yourself…

Daniel Craig’s gay jaunt

There may be more to hunky James Bond star Daniel Craig than we’ve been led to believe. There’ve been a series of reports of the actor recently spending an evening at the Venice, California gay bar Roosterfish. Daniel was seen by various people partying with a male friend, even cutting some moves on the dance floor. And it doesn’t end there… According to eyewitnesses, Daniel was also spotted swapping spit with his friend on a street corner. Licensed to thrill indeed!

Elton John camps it up Madonna-style

It’s about time Elton John had a little fun on stage – no one likes a stuffy old queen. The pop legend recently camped up a storm at a benefit concert at New York’s Carnegie Hall for the Rainforest Fund. He wowed the audience by performing cover versions of Madonna’s Material Girl and Like a Virgin – all accompanied by a troupe of near naked male dancers in hotpants. Other stars who performed at the concert included Sting, Lady Gaga, Debbie Harry and Bruce Springsteen. Check out a video clip here.

Lady Gaga makes out with a woman

Lady Gaga has not only often expressed her support for the gay and lesbian community, but has said that she considers herself bisexual. Not much of a statement really; just about every notable female singer these days spouts bisexual claims, but most mean it theoretically. Not so for our Lady, she puts her money – or should that be her tongue – where her mouth is. The Alejandro singer was photographed sunbathing on a yacht in St. Tropez earlier this month with an unknown female companion. And to the paparazzis’ surprise the two girls appeared to enjoy a little… snogging session. Maybe they’re just good friends messing about. Or perhaps there’s more to this little tryst… Time will tell…

Marc Jacobs bares all for fashion

American gay fashion designer Marc Jacobs has done a Tom Ford and posed in the nude for the ad campaign for his new men’s fragrance Bang. The designer – who’s proudly displaying all the hard work he’s put in at the gym over the last few years – is seen lying on silver Mylar while holding a giant bottle of the fragrance to cover his manhood. Bang is touted as being spicy, with notes such as “black, pink and white peppercorns, a heart of primal masculine woods and a drydown of hypnotic elemi resinoid, aromatic benzoin, vetiver, white moss and patchouli”. Huh, whatever – can we just see that picture again?

Queen Latifah buys a house – with her personal trainer?

Actress and singer Queen Latifah (or Dana Owens, as her mother knows her) has long been rumoured to prefer the company of women in the sack, but has to date refused to confirm that she could be of the Sapphic variety. Instead, she’s claimed that her perpetual female companion is simply her personal trainer. Now, not only should she be thinner than Victoria Beckham with a 24 hour trainer by now, but what in heaven’s name would possess her to buy a house together with said staff member. Yep, according to property records, Queen and her “personal trainer”, Jeanette Jenkins, have forked out $1,340,000 for the spiffy Mediterranean-styled Hollywood Hills home. How very suspicious…

Is Lindsay dating a cougar?

Has 23 year old Lindsay Lohan found a new lesbian lover? The rumour mill’s been working overtime after the actress was spotted spending time with 36 year old photographer Indrani. “We have been spending a lot of time together. I have never had a relationship with a woman before, but Lindsay is just somebody who I find fascinating, gorgeous and extremely smart, as well as super-hot,” Indrani said. Marcus Klinko, Indrani’s business partner, added his two cents: “I’ve seen them on dates, I have seen them making out…” he said. Lindsay, of course, denied any suggestion of romance. “No, no, no… In NO way am I dating her,” said the walking disaster. Surprisingly this time, Linday could be telling the truth. When one considers that Indrani and Marcus are about to star in a new reality series called Double Exposure, the whole thing could well be the photographer’s attempt to generate hype about the show.

We can’t wait to see wife-cheating actor Ryan Phillippe in the upcoming South African movie The Bang Bang Club, but we were even more excited when we saw recent photos of the 35 year old hottie on a pool deck somewhere in the Caribbean. We thought we’d spread the love… enjoy.

Mariah Carey’s renewed pregnancy rumours

Mariah Carey’s acting career has been riding high since receiving critical acclaim for her role in Precious. So why would she suddenly pull out of Precious director Tyler Perry’s new film? Her people have refused to offer the usual explanations and instead Carey’s spokesperson, Cindi Berger, commented cryptically: “I’m not at liberty to discuss her personal life at this time.” This immediately sparked off rumours that the 41 year old singer and hubby Nick Cannon might be expecting a special delivery from the stork. Just imagine a spoilt mini-Mariah throwing a screaming tantrum – let’s hope she won’t inherit her mom’s vocal range!
