OUT: VOLUNTEERS WANTED

Gauteng gay services organisation, OUT, needs two outgoing gay male volunteers to assist in outreach work from December to June.

As outreach workers they would need to go to gay clubs in the Joburg area and create awareness around a current testing and risk reduction service offered by OUT and provide limited information to club goers.

They would work as a team and would need to be available every Friday evening. They would also need to attend a monthly project team meeting in Pretoria once a month. They will receive some training before starting on 1 December.

They will essentially be volunteers but will be paid a small stipend to cover their time and travelling costs. This would be ideal for a student wanting to get involved in LGBT work and earn extra money. They should be outgoing, confident, and approachable.
