More pictures of Isis gay executions released

photos_isis_executes_2_more_gay_menThe Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (Isis) has released more pictures it claims are of gay men being executed.

The series of photos show two men being thrown to their deaths from the roof of a building, apparently because they were found guilty of committing practices of the “people of Lot,” meaning “sodomy”.

According to Isis, their punishment is that they be “thrown from a high place.”

A crowd is seen gathering at the base of the building, while men wearing balaclavas appear to push the victims, whose hands are bound behind their backs, over the edge.

Another photo shows the bodies of the two men lying on the ground.

Radio Free Europe reported that the images were first posted on the site on 15 January and then shared on twitter.

photos_isis_executes_2_more_gay_men_roofIt is believed that the photos were released by Isis for propaganda purposes and are similar to others released in December of the execution of another man accused of homosexuality.

In November, there were reports that two men accused of being gay were stoned to death in Syria by Isis.

In addition to the gay executions, the latest batch of photos released also included others of two men crucified for “banditry” and of a woman being stoned to death.

Isis is a proponent of a radical interpretation of Sharia religious law which allows for the execution of people for “morality” crimes, including adultery and homosexuality.
