Watch-Lady-Gaga-Bowie-tribute-at-2016-GrammysThere are few stars today who could claim the right to honour the legendary late David Bowie.

Lady Gaga, who identifies as bisexual and has no doubt been greatly influenced by the singer-songwriter’s artful imagery and evolving appearance, is one of them.

On Monday night, Gaga took to the stage at the Grammys to perform an impressive six-minute tribute to Bowie.

At one point using Intel technology to alter her features while she sang, Gaga (plus one time Bowie collaborator Nile Rodgers) led the crowd through a medley of the music icon’s greatest hits.

Fans were treated to spirited performances of songs including Space Oddity, Ziggy Stardust, Rebel Rebel, Fashion, Fame, Let’s Dance and Heroes.

During his career, Bowie broke pop culture conventions by flouting gender norms and flirting with bisexuality. He died of cancer in January at the age of 69.
