Meet the cast of season 9 of RuPaul’s Drag Race!

RuPaul’s Drag Race is returning for a new season, and the next royal court of Queens competing for the crown has been revealed.

Executive producer and host RuPaul Charles proclaimed that the ninth season would boast “more than ever!” as the Logo TV channel announced the 13 contestants on Thursday.

The upcoming premiere episode, set to screen in the US next month, will apparently feature “a shocking opening that will go down as one of the most jaw-dropping moments” in Drag Race history.

Additionally, it will unveil a court of cut-throat Queens each competing to snatch the crown and strut away with a $100,000 cash prize and the coveted title of “America’s Next Drag Superstar.”

Along the way, they’ll face an unpredictable competition and, as always, deliver watercooler moments as these talented ladies of drag join the fabulous 100 Queens who fought for the crown before them.

Since its launch in 2009, RuPaul’s Drag Race has grown in popularity and has developed a committed fanbase around the world.
