A rainbow baby! Toya Delazy is going to be a mom

South African singer and musician Toya Delazy and her wife have revealed that they’re expecting their first baby!
On Tuesday, the 32-year-old LGBTQ star posted a selection of photos of her and visibly pregnant wife Alisson ‘Ally’ Chaig on social media.
“We’re pregnant, I’m gonna be a MOMMY,” a delighted Toya announced alongside the pictures, together with the hashtag “rainbowbaby”.
“And just like that… Guide us universe, as we walk into this next chapter of our lives. Thank you for choosing us to bring forth this beautiful life force – We know it’s an incredible gift and miracle,” she wrote,
“I love you my gorgeous @alissonchaig doing this with you is one of the most incredible experiences, I couldn’t have chosen a better soul to build umuzi kamama.. Here’s to the part called Motherhood.”
The couple have been together for around ten years but officially tied the knot in October last year.
Toya, who is now living in London, has come a long way since her massive debut hit album, Due Drop, which won three 2013 SAMAs and scored a 2013 BET Nomination for Best International Act (Africa).
In June 2021, she released her latest album, Afrorave Vol. 1, recorded in IsiZulu.
Toya is a Zulu princess and the granddaughter of South African politician Mangosuthu Buthelezi who founded the Inkatha Freedom Party.
